Dear Readers,

During my work at the Research Institute of Horticulture, Apiculture Division in Puławy, Poland for over 20 years I hed been breeding wild pollinating insects of the Apidae family and using them to pollinate crop plants. Since eight years I have been running a private large-scale red mason bee (Osmia rufa L.) breeding. Now, it is one of the biggest breedings in Poland and I am able to deliver almost any number of cocoons.

Many years of experience in breeding this species and using disposable nesting materials (common reed) allowed me to breed healthy populations showing satisfactory hatching rate of 96-98%.
